EMT Refresher Education

NJ EMT’s require a 24-hour EMT Refresher that consists of 3 modules (A, B, and C) to recertify their EMT credentials. 


This program is designed to satisfy the EMT Refresher component of the renewal for NJ Emergency Medical Technicians. 


The program is run in three eight-hour blocks or partial credit can be awarded if a student wishes to take only part of their required modules with us.

Airway Management

This course dives into the many facets of airway management including hands-on practice with a variety of BLS Airway devices.

Coaching Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) IV Ambulance

Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) 4: AMBULANCE promotes critical thinking during high-pressure driving situations and offers defensive driving strategies to avoid collisions. The course trains emergency vehicle drivers how to navigate through traffic safely in both emergency and non-emergency situations and features videos with ambulance driver simulations followed by group discussions.

Coaching Emergency Vehicle Operator (IV) Maneuvering Skills

This is the hands on portion of the CEVO IV Ambulance course.

This course covers dive physics, dive equipment, types and causes of dive emergencies and EMS response to dive medical emergencies.

This course is a review of the pertinent information required for Patient Care Reports, electronic record keeping and the NEMSIS system.

Emergency Incident Rehabilitation Lecture

This course address the rehabilitation function that is performed by EMS at a variety of incident including Fire Scenes, Hazmat Incidents and Large Area Searches.

Emergency Incident Rehabilitation Practical

This course is the hands on application of Emergency Incident Rehabilitation. Topics discussed in the lecture portion will be put into application for a comprehensive understanding of the Rehabilitation process.

Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers (PEPP)

PEPP represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children. 


PEPP is a comprehensive, innovative, and highly visual course featuring case-based lectures, liveaction video, hands-on skills stations, and small group scenarios.

Sick/Not Sick

Sick/Not Sick teaches EMS personnel how to quickly collect information and discern what details are important in order to provide immediate initial care. After all, in EMS it comes down to whether the patient is Sick or Not Sick.

This course is a hybrid lecture/hands on practice. We will review different types of injuries, and the methods to immobilize them.
